Why are you doing this?

Q:   Why start a new church anyway?

Q:     Hey, there’s 18 churches in Iowa Falls already, why start number 19?

Because nearly 30% of the people who live within a half-hour of Iowa Falls do not attend ANY of our existing churches!

The River’s Edge is a ministry designed specifically to appeal to today’s emerging generations who have not connected with current churches, and deliver the relevant truth of Jesus to those who feel that the church has nothing to offer.

Because of this target, our approach, style and methods are considerably different, yet protecting the truth of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Through creative worship, we seek to appeal to the senses, to musicians and artists, skateboarders and movie-lovers in our community.

We want to celebrate diversity in people of all kinds.

We hope to see those who have been disillusioned with their past church experience be drawn back to this style of ministry.

We hope to see young families ignited in faith to this type of Christian community.

We hope that younger emerging generations who are getting their first exposure to Christianity and heartfelt worship be drawn to a lifestyle of faith by being part of this community.

We also hope that those who feel they could never fit in to most churches be drawn to the distinctive culture and heart of The River’s Edge, and call this community of faith their home.

Our Vision is to see every child, teen, student, and adult excited about who Jesus is, believing what He did, knowing Him personally, loving Him, and living for Him.

It is our desire to help:

        EVERY SEEKER grow to believe;

                EVERY BELIEVER grow to love;

                        EVERY LOVER grow to give; and

                                 EVERY GIVER grow to go.
